Fat Mans Misery

On May 28th Scott and I went on a 9 mile hike called
fat mans misery with our finch family and a few cousins
and uncles. We went on this hike the year before when
we were dating and had a good time. This year was a
little different. We had 12 people with us and there had
been a lot of rain this year. There were a lot more
obstacles with all the puddles (i considered them ponds)
we had to jump into. About half way through the hike we
got to a big repel that about half of us were to scared to
go down and we were way behind schedule. Scott knew
a way up and over it so half of us decided to go that way
We got to the top and it looked like this way was going to
be pretty steep so Scott and his uncle Bryan decided to go
in head of us and check it out. A little way down they came
a rope the went down about a ten foot drop and then it was
really steep the rest of the way down. So Scott decided to
go down it and make sure we could all make it. As he put all
of his weight on it the rope snapped. He fell straight down about
10-15 feet and landed on his feet then his momentum was still
going so he fell backward and rolled down another 30 ft. His uncle
watched the whole thing and said he was lucky not to even
break a bone. He only came out with a bruised heal. We are
very blessed!
We started out as such a happy bunch! :)
Now we must start on our
                                                      journey.

                                          First repel
                                          Scott's a natural

                                                  Our husbands are so
                                                      nice to help

I was a little too scared to do
                                                          it by myself!

We had so much sand in our shoes!

                                                     I don't wanna jump!
Scott was a little more brave.
                                                   The water was so cold!

                                         Warming up in the sun.
                                          Biggest repel of the hike!
Not too happy at this point
                                          my husband just fell down
                                               a mountain!
We're so close to being done only
                                                       6 more hours! Haha
